The Provincial Chamber of the Professional Ski Instructors in South Tyrol was founded in 1994 through the Provincial Law Nr. 3/94, as an organ of the ski instructors’ self-government. Among their main tasks are the management of the provincial list of the professional ski instructors, the training and further training of the ski instructors and the representation of the South Tyrolean ski schools.
The Provincial Chamber of the Professional Ski Instructors is the successor of the Provincial Association of the Ski Instructors and Ski Schools, founded in 1972 and now dissolved, the tasks and competences of which it has taken over.
It has tight contacts with the tourist representatives in South Tyrol.
Internally, the Provincial Chamber of the Professional Ski Instructors is subdivided into different resorts, according to the area of responsibility:
The School for Ski Instructors of South Tyrol takes care of the whole training, the further training and the specialization of the ski instructors in South Tyrol. Every year a well trained team of experts gives some 6.000 lessons.
The “South Tyrolean Ski School” is the commercial part of the Provincial Chamber of the Professional Ski Instructors. It tries hard to ensure the interests of the South Tyrolean ski schools with the focus on tourist advertising, image care and the improvement of the concept for good quality “South Tyrolean Ski School”.
