BASI is a Members’ association and the nationally and internationally recognised body for training and examining British Snowsport Instructors. The BASI Mission is to create a national and international reputation for excellence through the provision of the highest quality of training and support services, for snowsport instructors.
Snowsports is an exciting, very demanding and ever-developing industry to work within. BASI recognises and values the importance of encouraging an individual’s enjoyment of skiing and snowboarding and values individual strength of feeling and passion for a broad range of approaches to snowsport.
BASI provides courses in five disciplines: Alpine, Snowboard, Nordic, Telemark and Adaptive. Qualifications within each discipline are available and BASI is now encouraging members to cross-over from their favoured discipline and to investigate and experience other disciplines.
