A main task of the ISIA is to promote the attractiveness and image of the entire snow sport worldwide in all markets and to support national associations in their work. The priority here is the quality of the training of snow sports instructors. The common goal of all member nations is to guarantee high quality training standards. The focus is on sport and its worldwide appeal, not politics and national demarcation. ISIA stands for innovation, cooperation and communication.
Philosophy of the ISIA is among other things to consider the professional standards in the training of snow sports instructors as the common, worldwide, qualitative basis or orientation and to understand the different national prerequisites and convictions as an opportunity for the future. From the variety of the market new ideas develop, not from the foreclosure. Qualitative standards in training provide a common framework and oblige members to follow them. ISIA stands for quality, responsibility, ISIA card and ISIA stamp.
One goal of the ISIA is to form the global community of professional snow sports instructors, national associations and the different markets in the future into a strong, lively community. Professional snow sports instructors are by no means replaceable service providers in the snow and contribute significantly to success in the global markets. ISIA members want to benefit from each other, to share experiences with others and contribute to common success. ISIA stands for teamwork, identification and loyalty.

MoreYou are already in the ISIA Database with your professional snow sport instructor qualification, but you cannot edit your own data?
To edit your personal data in the ISIA Database, you have to register in the Database first. For this you have to send an e-mail to your national ski instructors’ association, which is a member of the ISIA, asking for an invitation to register in the new ISIA Database.
Afterwards you will receive an e-mail from your association with the request to register. If you follow the link in this mail, you can register with your e-mail address and enter a password of your choice. This invitation is active for 7 days, so please complete the registration immediately after receiving the invitation, it takes just under a minute and you can add your personal data and a passport photo.
The registered qualifications as well as the membership to an association can only be changed by the association itself. Please remember that each e-mail address may only exist once in the database. This applies especially to those who live in the same household, are all qualified snow sports instructors and use the same e-mail address.
You are already in the ISIA Database with your professional snow sport instructor qualification, you can edit your own data, but you do not want your personal data to be shown to the public
Based on data protection regulations in Europe and many other countries, snow sport instructors must decide for themselves whether to make their personal data public at all. “Public” means that the personal data is visible to everyone, “non-public” means that this datas will not be visible. After importing all snow sport instructors who have the quality status “ISIA Stamp” or “ISIA Card” due to their qualification, all snow sport instructors are not shown to the public with their personal data. The user of the ISIA Database gets only the information that this snow sports instructor exists and which ISIA code can be assigned to this instructor. The registered snow sports instructor can decide directly in the ISIA Database whether the personal data should be shown ” public” or “not public”. The decision about this is made by the snow sport instructor on his own responsibility. Also the decision once made about “public” or “non-public” can be changed again at any time.
You are not in the ISIA database with your professional snow sport instructor qualification
In this case please contact the national association of professional snow sport instructors. The professional ski instructors associations in Austria, France and in parts of Italy have closed their membership in the ISIA. This is the reason why the professional snow sport instructors from these nations are not listed in the ISIA Database.
You are already a snow sport instructor with a training outside the ISIA member nations
If you have not completed your training as a snow sport instructor in the professional association for snow sport instructors responsible for your country, you cannot be listed in the ISIA Database. Each country or ISIA member association decides on its own responsibility and competence about the questions of a recognition or equalization of your qualification.
