Additional information Ski Instructors/Trainers Association of Slovenia - SIAS is a professional association representing one of the bases of the development of skiing in Slovenia. Our main goal is to educate a high-quality ski instructors and trainers. Over its long tradition SITAS has become one of the largest sports associations in Slovenia. It consists of over 3500 active ski instructors and trainers. The development of ski sport resulted in wider activities of SITAS – it now comprises seven commissions (Alpine Skiing Commission, also including Sub-commission of Off-piste Skiing, Snowboarding Commission, Cross-country Skiing Commission and Nordic Walking Commission, Telemark Skiing Commission, Freestyle Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Commission and Biathlon Commission), which are responsible for professional staff (Alpine Ski Instructor of 1st, Alpine Ski Instructor/Trainer 2nd degree, and Trainer PRO) in the field of skiing. The accountability of individual commissions to the development of their profession is nowadays, when the public expectation is so great, is high. Therefore our professionally qualified ski instructors are actively involved in the field of recreational skiing as well as world cup skiing.
